Nowadays there are so many "boss babes" and "boss moms". We see it so often on social media - the mom that seems so successful at juggling motherhood and the rest of life, the woman who is growing her business or side hustle, and the young gal who seems to be killing in in nursing school all while planning her wedding.
These things are great - but while the world is seeking for another "boss babe" to get encouragement from, God is asking other questions: "Where are the women of humility? Where are the obedient ones? Where are the ones doing My work without any recognition? Where are those who in the midst of running a business or raising babies will still get down on their hands and knees and serve others? Where are the women who make sure I can access their time?"
Who can find a wife of noble character? She is far more precious than jewels.
(Proverbs 31:1)
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. (Ephesians 4:2)
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10)
We can often get so caught up being productive and successful and perfect, that we often say "no" to what God wants to do in us and through us.
We are so busy remodeling our homes, making sure its clean, and making sure our children are presentable, that we really are just denying the Lord of access to our lives!
Are you accessible for God to use you? If you only have people over when you and your house are put together and "ready" then you are telling God that He can access you and your time for just this tiny sliver of your whole day. There will always be laundry to fold, homework to do, work to be done... we try to "buy" precious time with our excuses! Don't throw up your silent sign of ACCESS DENIED.
Instead of avoiding blessing others with your home and a meal, lets forget about being perfect, and serve others.
Instead of getting a babysitter to get some more "me time" in, get a babysitter and go visit that new mom that just gave birth. Make her a meal, or clean her bathroom. Go visit your neighbor and tell the about what Jesus Christ did for you. Go visit the lonely widow who is struggling to find her purpose. There are so many people around us who would be so blessed by us being Jesus to them.
God is always at work. He is always working behind the scenes, and He is always in need of more people who are willing to work for His Kingdom! The key is to be flexible with your gifts and your time.
A woman who says YES to God and hustles for His Kingdom, is the real BOSS BABE.
"Access granted, Lord!"
